Is the cooling method of the compressor water cooling or air cooling?
A compressor is a mechanical device that converts high-pressure air into useful gases through specialized equipment. During the process of mechanical motion conversion, air is compressed by a compressor. The temperature rises sharply, generating high heat. The high-intensity use of compressor mechanical components generates heat between mechanical equipment. If these high temperatures cannot be discharged in a timely manner, it will cause the compressor to have an increase in operating temperature, a decrease in air output, an increase in energy consumption, and ultimately lead to compressor damage.
At present, in China, compressors are cooled by air or water to discharge heat outside. Using these devices to recover and reuse the waste heat of the compressor can not only solve the cooling problem of the compressor unit, but also save energy and reduce emissions.
Whether it is a piston compressor or a screw compressor, cooling treatment must be carried out during use. Traditional cooling methods mainly include air cooling and water cooling. In general, according to the exhaust capacity, medium and small compressors are mostly air-cooled, while large and medium-sized compressors are more commonly water-cooled. How to choose the cooling method of the compressor during use also depends on the environmental temperature, humidity, and water resources.
At present, the cooling hot air of air-cooled compressors is discharged to the outside through axle flow fan pipes. The cooling system of the water-cooled compressor is circulated through the water cooling system by a pump valve. The cooling hot water discharged from the compressor is circulated and used in the operation of the compressor through the pump valve. By using both air cooling and water cooling methods, the heat generated during the operation of the compressor will dissipate into the air and be in a state of energy consumption during the cooling process.
Therefore, in future production and life, the use of compressors requires the selection of cooling methods based on the current situation. On this basis, attention must be paid to energy conservation and emission reduction during use to prevent improper use from causing pollution.
